What's Your Time Worth? - Episode 1

So we wanted to look at the value of Park Prophet a little differently.

Instead of comparing it directly with something like Lightning Lane, we're asking a simpler question:

How much time can Park Prophet actually save you, and what is that time worth?

For Episode 1, we're starting with the most visited theme park in the world: Magic Kingdom.

For this series, we'll use the same basic assumptions to create a control route that we can compare with a Park Prophet optimized route:

• Family of four

• Approximately $1,075 in total vacation spending per day, based on a roughly $7,500 one-week trip

• Eight hours spent in the park each day

• About $135 of vacation value per hour

• Starting from the park entrance

• A counter-clockwise control route covering 10 of the park's most popular attractions

Here was our control route for Magic Kingdom on September 16, 2026:

The Result

The control route took approximately 24 minutes longer than the route optimized by Park Prophet.

At $135 per hour, those 24 minutes represent about $54 worth of vacation time saved.

And that's only looking at the value of the time itself.

Anyone who has spent a full day in a theme park—especially with kids—knows how valuable that last one can be.
